Better late than never
So, getting to write a weekly blog is not as easy as it first seemed......
Apologies for those of you hoping to find the next installment but wringing your hands in disgust as weeks go by with no change in sight!
The last few weeks at Peoples Coffee headquaters in Newtown, Wellington have been filled with hectic change.
Last week we closed the original store on Constable St, Newtown for some much needed love and attention. When we first opened in October 2004 I did not plan on having so many feet traipse across the shipping crate floor - and so after much floor pulling up and re lining, re painting, sanding, new benches and a little re-arranging, we opened again for business last Saturday.
While the store was closed we put Henry outside with our new Island Bay local Eileen to keep the locals fuelled while we hammered away.

Sadly, we also farewell Henry, Dan, and soon Jessie who are mostly off overseas. These great folk have been the mainstay of great espresso and service at our Constable St store for a long time and we will miss them sorely!
Please note that this week THE ROASTERY WILL BE CLOSED ON THURSDAY 30TH JULY as we go about thinking outside the box on staff training - all Thursday orders will be dispatched Friday.
Finally, while we are excited about our new website, we are experiencing a few, lets call them 'teething' issues. If you have these, we would love to learn exactly what they are so we can fix it up promptly - a short email to our resident IT guru will get you quick attention.
Take care out there...till next week!
Matt
Just so you know we quickly eyeball any blog comments before we make them live.
