Ethiopian Yirgcheffe
Flavour
Muscat grape, with floral fruit flavours and a light, silky body. Beautiful caramels are revealed with a dash of full cream milk. High caffeine.
Origin
Our Ethiopian Yirgacheffe beans are grown at an elevation of 1500 - 2000 metres, and are harvested between September and December. Peoples Coffee uses beans from the Oromia Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (OCFCU), which is Ethiopia's largest cooperative, representing 23,691 members (7107 of which are fairtrade certified) and 35 smaller cooperatives. Established in 1999, OCFCU produces 70 containers of fair-trade coffee annually.
Use
As a single origin, Ethiopian Yirgacheffe works best as a filter or plunger.
