Sumatran Gayo
Origin
Our Sumatran Gayo beans are grown at an elevation of 1100 - 1500 metres, and harvested between October and June. Peoples Coffee uses beans from the Gayo Organic Coffee Farmers Association (PPKGO), an organic cooperative located in the Gayo Highlands of the Aceh province of Sumatra, Indonesia. Established in 1997, PPKGO has 1900 members and an annual production of 99 containers.
Flavour
A beautiful low acidity origin with complex flavours and a smooth body. Rich earthy tones are complemented by a cocoa finish.
Use
As a single origin, Sumatran Gayo works best as a filter or plunger. Some customers have found this coffee is excellent as a stove top or mocha pot milk coffee.
